Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF)

REEF will deliver Canadian liquified petroleum gas (LPG) – like propane and butane, methanol, clean petroleum products (CPPs) to in-demand global markets.Phase 1 of the project will include LPG storage tanks, a new jetty and rail and logistics infrastructure. 

The REEF project is uniquely positioned to be one of the quickest routes to Asian markets with only 10-11 shipping days compared to a minimum 25-days from the U.S. Gulf Coast. We call this our “West Coast Advantage.”  

The Port of Prince Rupert provides REEF with year-round ice-free operations and has one of the deepest natural harbours in North America, meaning it can accommodate the world’s largest vessels.
