Vopak India (Kandla)

With the Utthan project, the Vopak WeConnect team in India supports two schools in the nearby community: Moulana Azad Primary School and Shree Tuna Patmik School. As most of the children at these schools are from underprivileged families, they need support to help them improve their future possibilities and to prevent them from leaving school early.

Safety and amenities

The purpose of the project is twofold. On the one hand, the WeConnect team teaches the children all about safety, such as road safety, domestic safety, and LPG safety. During the National Safety Week in India, the children are involved in several activities. On the other hand, the children are provided with the necessary amenities like books, school bags, water bottles, stationery items and part of the school fees. This is really of great help for the 700 children at both schools.

The project was kicked-off in January 2018 and will run until the end of 2018.
