Vopak Germany (Hamburg)
Vopak Dupeg Terminal Hamburg will provide career guidance to students (age 14-18 years) at the Wilhelmsburg District School in Hamurg by offering them insights into the scope, operation flows and procedures of a tank storage company and its role in the port of Hamburg specifically.
The students will also learn about the work conditions, necessary qualifications and career opportunities of the tank storage and port logistics sectors. Equally, they will improve their understanding and knowledge about the energy sector, energy supply, port logistics, the relevance of tank storage for a successful energy transition as well as the relevance of industrial jobs and the integration of industrial and residential quarters in the inner-city district of Wilhelmsburg.
Young local people will be effectively supported in their transition from school to labour market by terminal visits, internships, presentations and various contributions, e.g. at the Wilhelmsburg District School’s Maritime Project Weeks.
