Royal Vopak announces two expansion projects in Asia. At its Sebarok Terminal in Singapore, the company will add 216,000 cbm fuel oil storage capacity to the current capacity of 1,037,800 cbm. In Vietnam near Ho Chih Minh City, Vopak has acquired an 80% interest in a terminal to serve the chemicals trade. 

Expansion Sebarok Terminal in Singapore
At Vopak’s Sebarok Terminal, development has started of 216,000 cbm additional storage capacity for fuel oils. Vopak responds to higher market demand in line with the company’s strategy to strengthen the position of the Sebarok Terminal as a regional centre for fuel oil blending. The additional fuel oil capacity at the Sebarok Terminal will be available to Vopak’s customers by the end of the fourth quarter of 2007. Vopak Terminals Singapore Pte Ltd is 69.5% owned by Royal Vopak and 30.5% owned by PSA Corporation. The company operates four storage terminals for oil products and chemicals in Singapore: Sebarok, Sakra, Penjuru and Banyan. The four terminals currently offer a total storage capacity of 1.9 million cbm.

Acquisition 80% share in Vietnam terminal
Vopak (Vietnam) B.V. (a subsidiary of Royal Vopak) has acquired all shares of AP Petrochemicals Singapore (APPS). APPS is 80% shareholder of AP Petrochemicals Vietnam (APPV) which owns a terminal in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai province in South Vietnam near Ho Chih Minh City. This terminal currently consists of 7 tanks with total capacity of 8,200 cbm, a jetty, drum filling plant and warehouse and ample land for future expansion. Vopak plans to upgrade and expand the terminal to serve the fast growing chemical distribution market in the greater Ho Chih Minh area.
