The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Koninklijke Vopak N.V. (Royal Vopak) today appointed Mr. A. van Rossum as member of the Supervisory Board for the term from 2007 to 2011.

Mr. Van Rossum (62 years) has more than 30 year experience in the banking and insurance industry, as Chairman of the Executive Committee (CEO) of Fortis from 2000 until the end of 2004 and earlier among others as Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Van Rossum is currently member of the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse, member of the Supervisory Board of Solvay and Rodamco Europe, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Mr Van Rossum has the Dutch nationality and does not own any Vopak shares.
