Vopak China (Caojing)

‘Build your dreams’ is a one-day event, organized by the WeConnect team at Vopak Terminal Shanghai-Caojing. 

Get inspired

Around 70 students (aged 12-24 years) are selected from a local junior and senior high school, a nearby college and university. The WeConnect team invites them to come to the terminal to have an educational and inspiring day together. 

An overview of the activities during the day:

• Life and career story sharing by Vopak front-line operators and managers 
• Interview skills workshop by the Vopak HR department
• Promote knowledge and skills of professional emergency response 
• First-aid workshop and drill competition
• Training on how to use a fire extinguisher
• Environment protection training

With this one-day WeConnect event, we aim to inspire the young people and help them to be better prepared for their future employment. 

The project took place in November 2017 and was again very well received.
