Vopak LNG is the independent global LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) regasification terminal operator.
We offer non-discriminatory open access to our terminals to all interested LNG suppliers and customers and we are always open for strong partnerships. Keywords within these partnerships are long-term commitments, making use of a repeatable formula and our commitment to sustainability.
LNG is of prime importance for many countries who want to improve the security of supply and add an additional source of supply to their gas supply portfolio. We create partnerships with local (infrastructure) companies to open new markets for LNG. Our joint venture partners, such as Gasunie for Gate terminal, Enagas for TLA, Engro in Pakistan, and Promigas in Colombia are independent, trusted players in their markets, with the necessary knowledge and contracts with local authorities. In addition, we want to offer flexible service concepts at our terminals. This allows our customers to purchase different services like storage, backloading, and transshipment of LNG at our facilities.
We strongly believe that LNG will be the future fuel for land-based vehicles and ships, as well as an alternative energy supply for industrial customers not having access to the gas grid.
Vopak will grow its base in gas terminals and will continue to invest in the growing global gas markets and expand its network of LNG terminals at strategic locations.
Terminals
Gate Terminal: Located in the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Gate terminal enables access into the Northwest European gas market. More information at Gate.nl
Terminal Altamira - TLA: Attractively situated on the east coast of Mexico, TLA makes it easy to import LNG into the country and potentially serve the nearby islands in the future.
Engro Elengy Terminal (EETPL): EETPL is the first FSRU terminal unlocking access to the growing Pakistan gas market-based in Port Qasim.
SPEC LNG Terminal: Situated in Colombia, the LNG import facility consists of an LNG jetty, onshore infrastructure, and a 9.2 km gas pipeline which connects SPEC to the national gas grid. A chartered FSRU is receiving the LNG and sending the gas on shore. SPEC holds long term contracts with three local gas-fired power plants.
