The heart of our business is operations. Vopak owns and operates an international network of 72 liquid bulk storage terminals, coastal vessels and inland tank barges, over 3000 tank containers and a number of strategically placed logistic warehouses. Vopak’s industry approach includes the development of industrial terminals in main petrochemical industrial parks, where our terminals form an integrated part of 24-hour chemical processes of our customers. In all our operations, we aim to achieve the highest safety, health, environmental and quality performance, at least equal to that of our customers.

At our tank terminals, operations is about managing a terminal organization, ensuring that all functions at the terminal operate at an optimal level. This includes maintenance & repair, engineering, customer services as well as the 24-hour operations to serve our customers, and safeguard the quality of products and services in compliance with SHEQ (safety, health, environment & quality) standards and procedures.

Typical positions in Operations include Terminal or Facility Manager, Operations Manager, Technical Manager and Maintenance & Repair Manager, but also staff positions like Project Engineer.
