New fuel-oil jetty at Vopak in Rotterdam

On 30 October 2004, Vopak Oil Rotterdam in the Netherlands commissioned its new jetty at its Europoort terminal in the Netherlands. This jetty, with a length of over 230 metres, is suitable for both (mega)barges and sea-going vessels with a maximum capacity of 48,000 dwt. The dedicated jetty will be used to load and discharge fuel-oil.
The new jetty is part of Vopak's major fuel-oil investment programme at the Europoort terminal in the Netherlands. This programme, which also includes investments in extra tanks, special dome roofs, pipelines and mass flow meters, will enable Vopak to further improve its service to customers. The new jetty is the result of a successful cooperation between the Port of Rotterdam and Vopak responding to the growing market in Rotterdam for bunkering, export and transhipment of fuel-oil.
