In June 2005 four young rowers will challenge the elements of the North Atlantic Ocean. They will attempt to break a world record - rowing in less than 55 days from New York to the Scilly Islands (UK). After this journey they will continue the voyage to their home city Rotterdam.

Royal Vopak is main sponsor of this adventurous attempt. The specially built ship has been given the name ‘Vopak Victory’.

Recently Mrs. Opstelten, wife of the Mayor of Rotterdam, baptized the Vopak Victory as shown on the picture below.
