In order to be able to serve our customers best, Vopak needs to maintain an in-depth knowledge of the industry needs and future logistic trends. Business development therefore is a key function, watching industry trends and market developments, anticipating the fast changing needs and requirements of the oil- and chemical industry and identifying business opportunities. But also sales planning and forecasting, account and product management at a local and global level are part of Marketing & Sales. And, last but not least, building and maintaining excellent customer relations with key customers and accounts. The way to serve a customer best is to know the customer, each customer has specific needs.
Typical jobs within Marketing & Sales are Sales or Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Manager Sales & Chartering.
